In the showdown of the Eagles, Nixa and Fair Grove clashed on the Friday, Dec. 28 and the Nixa Eagles prevailed. 

Nixa put itself in position to play fo fifth place in the Blue Division by beating Fair Grove 53-45 at the Blue & Gold Tournament on Friday.

Luke Roemen was the leading score for Nixa with 16-points, 10 of which came in the second half.

Kaleb Wofford netted a trio of 3-pointers during his nine-point day to lead Nixa while Brandon Gordon contributed 11 points in the victory.

The Eagles (5-6) led by as many as 16 points.

Nixa will try to even their record at .500 while meeting Strafford in Saturday's third-place game at 7 p.m.
