KANSAS CITY — By shutting down Nixa's vaunted running game Friday, Rockhurst did what nobody else had come close to doing all season and nobody had done since a year ago in the same Class 6 Quarterfinal round.

The Eagles' streak of at least one rushing touchdown ended at 11 games in their 38-14 defeat at the hands of the Hawklets.

A year ago in the Quarterfinals/District finals, Lee's Summit North also kept Nixa from running for a touchdown.
