The latest chapter in the Kickapoo and Nixa boys basketball rivalry was another classic.

Kickapoo trailed Nixa the entire game on Wednesday until sophomore Reese Kimrey knocked down a mid-range jumper to put the Chiefs ahead 54-52 with 2.3 seconds left in the contest. Nixa failed to get a shot off before the buzzer sending Kickapoo to the key district win.

It was all Nixa early in the game with the Eagles jumping out to a 12-6 lead after the first quarter and a 28-20 lead at the half.
