The Nixa Eagles hosted the Kirkwood Pioneers in the Class 6 state semifinals at Eagle Stadium on Nov. 30 and used a dominant running game to defeat the visitors 56-46.

RB Dylan Rebura accounted for six of the Eagles eight touchdowns in the game, rushing 40 times for 335 yards. QB Adam McKnight connected with TE Lane Meltabarger for a 38-yard TD, and DB Randy Flint intercepted the Kirkwood QB and returned it 90 yards for another TD.

Nixa (13-0) will travel to Columbia, Mo., and play for the elusive Class 6 state championship on Friday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. against De Smet Jesuit (11-2) on Faurot Field at the University of Missouri. De Semet knocked off Liberty 34-14 in its semifinal matchup.
