2026 spring sports districts information

The 2026 spring district tournament dates and information are below.

All district admission is $6.

Please note that if a bracket/seeds are not listed below, they have not yet been released and will be added when announced.

Boys Tennis: April 30, 2026 (Individual) and May 4-7, 2026 (Team)
Class 3 District 5 @ Republic High School and Top-Seeded Venues

For the individual district tournament, all games will be played at the host site, Republic High School. The top two singles and doubles finalists (district winner and district runner-up) will advance directly to the state tournament. 16 singles and 16 doubles will qualify for the individual state tournament.

For the team district tournament, the team district champion will advance to the team quarterfinals. The team quarterfinal winner will go to the team state tournament.

The district's competing teams are Carthage, Joplin, Kickapoo, Neosho, Nixa, Ozark, and Republic. All games will be played on May 5-7 at the top-seeded venues.

In the team tournament, Nixa received the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 Carthage in the quarterfinals on May 4 at 4:30 p.m. The two teams met in the regular season, and Nixa swept Carthage 9-0. Wyatt Hasson, Lyle Fulneckey, Parker Walden, Wilson Koenig, John Gonzales, and Brody Murray all picked up singles wins. The doubles team of Hasson/Fulnecky, Walden/Koening, and Gonzales/Murray won their respective doubles contests.

Other seeds and matchups align as such: No. 2 Ozark vs. No. 7 Neosho, No. 4 Joplin vs. No. 5 Republic. Kickapoo is the No. 1 seed and received a first-round bye.

Recap:

Nixa swept Carthage 5-0 in the opening round and upset Ozark 5-4 to advance to title match vs. top-seeded Kickapoo.

In the championship match, Nixa fell in a hard-fought contest to Kickapoo 5-2, concluding its season with a record of 13-7.



Boys Golf: May 11, 2026

The Class 5 District 3 boys golf tournament, hosted by Glendale High School, will be held on May 11, 2026, at Bill & Payne GC, with a tee time of 9 a.m. 

The district's competing teams are Branson, Carthage, Glendale, Helias Catholic, Joplin, Kickapoo, Lee's Summit, Lee's Summit West, Neosho, Nixa, Ozark, Raymore-Peculiar, Republic, Sedalia Smith-Cotton, Summit Christian Academy, and Waynesville.

There is no tournament bracket for golf. The teams who finish in the top two advance to the state tournament on May 18-19 at the Country Club Golf Course in Springfield, Mo. After removing the player scores from the qualifying teams (district champion, runner-up), the remaining top 13, including ties, also advance to the state tournament.

Recap:

Nixa placed tied for fifth with Glendale out of 16 teams with 297 team points (+17).

In a field of 79 golfers, Peyton Burbridge had the team's best performance, placing 13th overall and earning All-District honors and a berth to the state tournament on May 18-19. Burbridge finished +1 (71) with a birdie on hole 7 and an eagle on 18.

Will Johnston also earned a state qualification, placing 22nd at +4 (74). Johnston tallied two birdies on holes 3 and 13.

Boys Volleyball: May 8-12, 2026
Class 2 District 11 @ Northwest (Cedar Hill)

The Class 2 District 1 volleyball tournament, hosted by Northwest (Cedar Hill) High School, will be held May 8 and 11-12, 2026. 

The quarterfinal round is scheduled for Friday, May 8; the semifinal round is Monday, May 11, and the championship is set for Tuesday, May 12.

The district's competing teams are Fox, Mehlville, Nixa, Northwest (Cedar Hill), Oakville, and Seckman.

Nixa (14-7-1) received the No. 2 seed and received a first-round bye. The Eagles will face the winner of No. 3 Melhville (13-10) and No. 6 Seckman (6-23-1) in the semifinals on May 11 at 7 p.m.

Other first-round matches and seeds include No. 4 Northwest (9-12-3) and No. 5 Fox (8-9-2). Oakville (11-8) is the No. 1 seed and also received a first-round bye. They will face the winner of Northwest and Oakville.

In the regular season, Nixa faced Seckman and Melhville, defeating Seckman 2-0, while falling to Melhville 2-1.

Semifinal

Nixa fell to Mehlville 3-1in the semifinals, concluding its season with a record of 14-8-1. The Eagles dropped the first two sets 25-19 and 25-22, and went on to capture the third set 25-22, but fell in the fourth set 25-19.

Class 5 Sectional 3 Meet @ Waynesville High School: May 23, 2026
Class 5 State Meet @ Jefferson City High School: May 29-30, 2026

The Class 5 District 6 boys and girls track and field meet, hosted by Nixa High School, will be held on May 16, 2025. Field events will begin at 9:30 a.m., and running events will begin at 11 a.m.

The district's competing teams for boys and girls are Belton, Carthage, Joplin, Neosho, Nixa, Raymore-Peculiar, Republic, Webb City, and Willard.

The top four individual finishers in each event per gender and the top four relay teams in each event per gender advance to the next round (sectionals, state).

Sectionals will be held on May 23, and state will be held on May 29-30.
 

Girls Soccer: May 18-26, 2026
Class 4 District 5 @ Ozark High School

The Class 4 District 5 soccer tournament, hosted by Ozark High School, will be held on May 18, 21, and 26.

Quarterfinals are set for May 18, semifinals May 21, and the championship on May 26.

The district's competing teams are Branson, Glendale, Kickapoo, Neosho, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, and Waynesville.

The two-time defending champs, Nixa, received the No. 1 seed and face Branson in the quarterfinals on Monday, May 18, at 5 p.m. The teams did not meet in the regular season, and Nixa owns an all-time record of 15-0 against Branson, dating back to 2009.

Other seeds and matchups entail No. 2 Ozark vs. No. 7 Waynesville at 1 p.m., No. 3 vs. No. 6 Neosho at 3 p.m., and No. 4 Kickapoo vs. No. 5 Republic at 7 p.m.

In the regular season, Nixa defeated each district opponent, defeating Waynesville 8-0, Kickapoo 3-2, Glendale 6-0, Republic 5-0, Ozark 4-0, and Neosho 4-0. 

 

Baseball: May 19-22, 2026
Class 6 District 6 @ Ozark High School

The Class 6 District 6 baseball tournament, hosted by Ozark High School, will be held on May 19-22.

The district's competing teams are Branson, Glendale, Joplin, Kickapoo, Neosho, Nixa, Ozark, and Republic.

As of May 7, the district brackets and seeds have not been released and will be added upon announcement.
