After 12 straight winning seasons, there's little question that Nixa is one of southwest Missouri's most consistent boys soccer programs.

The challenge has been continuing their regular-season success into the playoffs.

After years of near-misses in an ultra-competitive bracket, there's a growing optimism that this year's group can bring home the team's first district championship since 2020.

"This year's team should be a good one," Nixa coach Evan Palmer said. "We have talented players at all positions, but we have to gel as a team. I think we will and we will be one of the teams to beat this year. We have to stay humble but confident, if we do that we can be really good."
