Bass Fishing Information for the 2025-26 Nixa Bass Fishing Team

Competition Dates:
March 29, 2026: Table Rock Lake
April 26, 2026: Lake of the Ozarks
May 31, 2026: Bull Shoals Lake
June 14, 2026: Championship – Pomme (Must qualify via AOY points)

General Information:

On the water practice dates TBA, most likely the day before the tournament.
You are expected to schedule vacations and other plans around these dates
Both team members must be students enrolled in Nixa Public Schools.
Meetings begin in January, usually once or twice a month.
Annual dues are $50. Fundraisers are held as well, and participation in all fundraisers is mandatory.
Register for NPS Final Forms and submit/meet mandated requirements by given deadline.
There are NO REFUNDS once the Commitment Form is signed and submitted to coach.
National Youth Fishing Association Membership $60 (Includes liability insurance).
Entry fees are $40 per tournament, $20 per team member.
You are expected to meet deadlines. Failure to do so results in removal from team.
Jersey cost is $50 to $60.
Each team member must link with a partner and be committed to all dates, including practices.
Each two-person team must provide a Volunteer Boater committed to all the tournament dates and practices for the season. Boat must have an aerated livewell.
Volunteer Boater is not guaranteed any fuel reimbursement.
Each team member must provide their own equipment, personal flotation device and foul weather gear.
Each team member must have a Missouri fishing license with a Border Lakes add on.
Tournaments are held rain or shine. We have fished one tournament with snow.
Penalty for missing tournaments: PERMANENT REMOVAL FROM THE TEAM
- Exceptions:
  - Another approved school activity (Prior approval required)
  - Death in family
  - Illness
