Nixa Bass Fishing Team Tournament Commitment Form
Dear Parents/Team Members:
As a member of the Nixa Bass Fishing Team, students will represent Nixa Schools in the National Youth Fishing Association Tournament Series. This requires a huge time commitment and considerable expense. Before we begin preparation, A FIRM COMMITMENT is needed from each team member. You will commitment to the
following things:
1. Student will be available on the following dates, and you commit to schedule around these dates:
- March 26, 2026: Practice day on Table Rock Lake
- March 29, 2026: Tournament No. 1 – Table Rock Lake
- April 25, 2026: Practice day on Lake of the Ozarks
- April 26, 2026: Tournament No. 2 – Lake of the Ozarks
- May 30, 2026: Practice day on Bull Shoals Lake
- May 31, 2026: Tournament No. 3 – Bull Shoals Lake
- June 13, 2026: Practice – Championship for Qualifiers at Pomme de Terre Lake
- June 14, 2026: Championship Tournament for Qualifiers at Pomme de Terre Lake
- Scheduled monthly meetings for training and tournament preparation
2. On all of the above dates, team members will meet at a designated location and be transported by Approved Boaters to the lake. Safety Checks will be completed prior to departure. Students must have transportation to required locations at scheduled times, and be ON TIME. Being late
could jeopardize the whole team. Not showing up will jeopardize their partner's ability to compete.
3. Students may only be transported to and from events by an Approved Volunteer Boat Captain or a parent.
4. Your student will have their tackle, life jacket, and rain suit or cold-weather gear (if the forecast indicates).
5. You will purchase a team jersey.
6. You are expected to be responsible and meet deadlines. Failure to do so will lead to removal from the team.
7. Due to the passage of the Safe Sports Act of 2017, no student will be allowed to fish without a partner.
Once this form is submitted, and annual dues are paid, there will be NO REFUNDS.
PENALTY FOR MISSING TOURNAMENT – PERMANENT REMOVAL FROM THE TEAM
Exceptions:
- Another APPROVED School Activity (Prior Approval Required)
- Death in the family
- Illness
- Significant reason, other than above, will require advance approval by the Coach and Athletic Director
