Aaron Wells

Coach Wells is in his 26th year teaching and coaching, 11 of those at Nixa. Wells currently serves as the offensive coordinator and quarterback's coach. Wells has had career stops at Lebanon (1993-98 defensive backs/Qb’s), Carthage (Defensive Coordinator1998-2000 LB’s), Reeds Spring (Head Coach2000-03 QB’s and LB’s), Republic (Co-defensive coordinator 2003-06 LB’s /Co-offensive coordinator 06-08 Qb’s and Rec’s). Coach Wells has also served as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator for the West team and helped guide the West team to victory in the 2011 Lions Club Grin Iron Classic.

Coach Wells is a four-year football letterman at Missouri Southern State College. He was a starter at Free Safety and team captain for the Lions after being recruited as a quarterback out of high school. Wells is a 1988 graduate of Nixa High School and was a four sport letterman. Wells was also an all-conference and district pick at quarterback and defensive back for the Eagles. Well is a class of 2008 Nixa High School Athletic Hall of Fame inductee.

He is proud to say that he has coached numerous all-conference, all-district and all-state players. Some of those players, while coordinating the offense at Nixa, had broken and set numerous offensive individual and team school records in the last five years. Also, while guiding the Eagles offense in five seasons at Nixa, the Eagles have made playoff appearances in four out of the five years. They reached the State Quarterfinals two of those four years, 2009 and 2011.
