Clayton Taff is starting his sixth season as an assistant for the Eagles 8th-grade boys basketball squad. In the past five seasons, Coach Corya and his A teams have won four conference championships and finished runner-up once with a combined record of 67-6 while their B teams have racked up a record of 54-3 with two Ozark Tournament championships.
Coach Taff was an all-state player at Berryville High School in Arkansas, where he also won an individual state championship in the 800 meter run. Taff earned both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Univeristy of Missouri - Columbia while simultaneously serving in the Missouri Army National Guard as a military policeman. Sergeant Taff served overseas in Haiti and Qatar as well as on state emergency duty in Ferguson, MO.Â
Clayton and his wife Bethany live in Nixa with their daughter, Blair, son, Dawson, and, at times, a foster child or two.
