Coach Zimmerman is entering her 10th season as head coach for the Nixa Volleyball program and her 22nd year in education overall. In her first nine seasons at Nixa she compiled a record of 235-65-6 which included five conference championships (2015, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), three district championships (2019, 2020, 2021), two final four appearances (2019, 2020) and a state championship in 2019.
After graduating from Missouri State University in 2002, Coach Zimmerman began her teaching and coaching career at her high school alma mater in Seymour, Missouri where she remained until the spring of 2006. She also served as a teacher/head volleyball coach for Mountain View-Birch Tree Liberty High School from 2007-2010 and Parkview High School from 2011-2013.
In addition to her volleyball coaching duties, she teaches physical education at Nixa High School and serves as the Care To Learn director for Nixa Public Schools.
