CARL JUNCTION, Missouri - The Nixa boys wrestling team competed in the Carl Junction Tournament on Dec. 11.

Nixa was without their four star powerhouses Zan Fugitt, Peyton Moore, Brennan Carey, and John Gholson, as they were away in the Walsh Jesuit Ironman Tournament

 Nixa beat Monett 70-12 in the first round with nine forfeits and three falls.

The Eagles tied against Bolivar in the second round, where four wrestlers recorded falls.

In the third round against Carl Junction, the Eagles were edged by the Bulldogs 42-32. Six Eagles recorded wins, with four of them being falls.

Nixa fell to Seneca 44-30 in their next match recording four falls, then beat McDonald County 52-26 with six falls to finish the day in third place.
