KANSAS CITY, Missouri - Nixa boys wrestling had a successful trip to Kansas City where they placed 4th out of 24 teams in the Winnetonka Tournament in one of the most competitive tournaments in the state.

Two Eagles, Zan Fugitt at 120 and Peyton Moore at 126, took first place.

Fugitt pinned his first six opponents before beating Draegan Orine (30-3) by decision 5-3.

Zan Fugitt won the tournament's Most Outstanding Wrestler and is 30-1 on the season.

Peyton Moore's recorded career win 150 in the tournament. Moore won by fall, technical fall, fall, major decision 14-1, fall, decision 4-2, and beat Dru Azcona (35-4) in the championship by decision 7-2.

Brennan Carey at 195 and John Gholson at 220 placed third, Charles Speake at 285 placed fourth, Cole Crahan at 170 and Avry Rutherford at 182 placed fifth. Nate Brower at 145 placed sixth

Carey recorded the most pins with seven and won the tournament's most pins award.
