Over the last ten seasons (2015-2025), Nixa has advanced to the state tournament three times, capturing the elusive title in 2019. The Eagles were runners-up in 2020 and reached the quarterfinal round in 2021.

On the other side, the Jaguars are appearing for a fifth time and third straight, falling each time in the quarterfinal round against all southwest Missouri opponents. In 2024 and 2023, they were swept by Ozark and Kickapoo.
