2025-26 Nixa bowling team information, sign-up, fundraiser event

11/19/2025 3:52:00 PM

The Nixa bowling team, founded in 2010, will host its informational sign-up meeting on Monday, Dec. 8.

The meeting, open to anyone interested in joining the team, will be held at Century Lanes at 4 p.m.

Regardless of skill level, the coaching staff encourages everyone to attend the meeting and be part of the team, learning what the sport is all about.

Nixa offers one varsity team and two junior varsity teams, each with seven individuals per team, and crowned the 2024 state championship and finished third in 2025.

Bowling provides opportunities for individuals of all skill levels to feel accomplishment. It also offers athletes the opportunity to earn scholarship money while having fun, learning a lifelong sport, spending time with friends, receiving coaching, and participating in friendly competition against area schools.

Tryouts for the team will be held on Dec. 16-18, 2025, at 4 p.m., also held at Century Lanes.

The first official team practice is January 5, 2026.

For additional information and to sign up, please contact head coach David Evans at heavy88@att.net.

Nixa and Ozark will host its 9 Pin No Tap fundraiser event on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Nixa and Ozark bowling teams to purchase uniforms, equipment, and any other necessary items for their upcoming seasons.

The event is open to all ages and skill levels. It will be held at Century Lanes and is scheduled to begin at noon. Check-in is at 11 a.m.

Each participating player will bowl three games of 9-pin no-tap, and prizes will be awarded to the highest-scoring adult and youth series of the day.

The cost to participate in the event is $20 per person and will be paid upon registration on the day of the event.

There will be door prizes, items raffled off, and a silent auction as well.

To register, please contact head coach David Evans at heavy88@att.net.
