At halftime of the Nixa boys basketball game vs. Lebanon on Feb. 14, two Nixa natives were inducted into the Nixa Athletic Hall of Fame for the Class of 2025.

The purpose of the Nixa Athletic Hall of Fame is to select and honor outstanding athletes, coaches, or other individuals who have distinguished themselves in personal or public endeavors and have contributed significantly to the excellence of the athletic program at Nixa High School.

Kameron Bundy, 2012

Kameron Bundy is a graduate of the class of 2012 and participated in basketball, and lettering three years. Bundy played on the 2012 state runner-up team and was named to the 2012 Missouri All-State basketball team. Bundy also received All-Conference, All-District, and All-Ozarks honors. After high school, Kameron went on to play college basketball at Drury University, where he won a National Championship in 2013 and ranks 10th all-time in scoring (1770) and fifth all-time in 3-pointers made (218) and steals (163).

Kameron is the son of Martin Bundy and Krista Paladino and currently resides in Springfield, Mo., with his wife, Clarissa, and works as the manager for Titan Nutrition.

Derald St. John

Derald St. John was a long-time supporter and faithful volunteer for the Nixa Athletics Department. In the early 1980s, St. John, Bob Cooper, Berry Brownsburger, and Gary Recla started carrying the football chains together at all home football games on Mondays and Fridays. Later in life, St. John continued to work many games for Nixa football until his health made it difficult for him to continue.

Due to Derald's 35-plus years of service to the Nixa Athletic Department and the football program, Derald will be enshrined into the Nixa Athletic Hall of Fame. Derald passed away in August of 2015, so his loving wife, Myrtle, accepted Derald's award on his behalf.
