Registration for the 2025 Nixa Youth Football (NYF) season, which is open to Nixa students in grades 3rd through 6th, is now open.

The NYF program aims to teach solid fundamentals and other important aspects of the game. It is overseen by varsity head coach John Perry and is limited to 72 participants per grade.

Early bird registration for the cost of the season is $125, and to be eligible for that price, registration must be completed before the deadline of May 30, 2025.

If after May 30, regular registration is $150. The last date to register has changed to June 25. 

Each athlete must be registered on LeagueApps. Grade levels are 3rd through 6th for the 2025-2026 school year. Instructions on how to create a LeagueApps account and register athletes can be found here or at the links below.

All athletes must have a current physical on LeagueApps prior to the first day of practice in order to participate. A reminder that physicals are valid for two years from the date of the examination and now only need to turn in the last page of the MSHSAA Preparticipation Physical 

Forms/Procedure (MSHSAA Medical Eligibility Form). All physical requirements can be found here or at the links below.

Players with a current and valid physical only need to complete the annual requirements portion (part two). That form can be found here. Parents will need to upload physicals from the previous when registering their child for this year's season.

Uniform/Equipment Requirements:

All players are required to purchase their own game uniform.

New game jerseys cost $32. Jersey links will be provided later. Players may wear the same game jersey and game pants from the 2025 season.

Athletes who need to purchase a new game jersey must complete the form here or at the link below.

New players must purchase game pants at Play It Again Sports in Springfield to ensure that charcoal gray pants will match teammates.

Players will be provided with helmets, mouth guards, shoulder pads, a practice jersey, and a guardian cap if they pay the registration fee in full during the gear handout and parent meeting on August 10.

New athletes to the NYF program will need to purchase a game jersey and pants. Returning NYF players are welcome to wear the previous year's gear if it still fits.

August 10: Gear Handout and Parent Meeting at Nixa Junior High School

• 5th-6th Grade: 3pm
• 3rd-4th Grade: 4pm

The parent meeting will be held while players are getting fitted.

August 11, 12, & 14: First Week of Practice

Additional Practice Information:

• For the first three weeks of the season, practices will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. When games begin, practices will be on Mondays and Thursdays. Tuesdays will be used for inclement weather make-up practice.

  • 5th-6th: Nixa Junior High School West Field (205 North Street)

Game Schedule/Information:

All teams will play six games, with one bye week.

• Game 6: Oct. 11

More game details will be announced closer to the season.

The gear turn-in will be Oct. 13 from 6-7 p.m. at the junior high school.
