Nixa returns to the Final Four for the first time since 2013 and enters the semifinal matchup on an eight-game winning streak with a record of 21-2. The Eagles two defeats were to Blue Springs South (3-0) and Cor Jesu (5-0).

Cor Jesu, the District 1 champion, knocked off Ursuline Academy in the quarterfinals 1-0 to secure its second straight trip to Fenton. The Chargers enter Friday's matchup on a 13-game win streak with a record of 20-1. Their lone defeat came against area rival and St. Louis powerhouse St. Joseph's Academy.

The Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association (MHSSCA) ranked Cor Jesu the No. 1 team in its first poll (April 15), and the Charges never fell out of the spot. The United Soccer Coaches Association also ranks them No. 7 nationally.

To begin the year, the MHSSCA ranked Nixa unranked in the state. However, it worked its way to No. 9, No. 6, and No. 8 in the final regular-season rankings.

Besides its regular-season matchup, Nixa and Cor Jesu have no common opponents they played in the 2025 campaign.

The Eagles are making only their second-ever Final Four appearance. Nixa last appeared in 2013 and placed fourth overall in Class 3, falling to Eureka (4-0) and St. Joseph's Academy (4-1).

The Chargers are making back-to-back appearances and 10th overall, crowning the 2024 Class 3 state championship, and additional titles in 2012 and 1985. Cor Jesu is led by its returning All-American, the nation's Class of 2027 No. 1 recruit, 2023- 2024 Missouri and National Gatorade Player of the Year, and U.S. Soccer Under-16 Women's National Team Member, sophomore Maddy DiMaria. Seniors Emma Shields (DI, Missouri State) and Alex Henderson (DII, Rockhurst) also help lead Cor Jesu and have signed to the next level.

Nixa is anchored by its 2024 all-staters, senior defender Bailey Snyder (1st), junior forward Shaelee Franck (1st), and junior midfielder Sam McClain (2nd). Snyder has signed with Drury University, while McClain has given her commitment to the Panthers. Fellow teammate Brooke Teter is also signed with Drury. Franck is committed to the University of Northern Iowa.

Both defenses are identical entering the semifinal contest, averaging less than a goal a game (0.6). The Chargers have the advantage on offense, averaging 4.5 goals per game to Nixa's 3.9.

The other semifinal matchup is St. Dominic (13-6) vs. Lee's Summit West (16-5). The winners of each contest play for the title at 7 p.m. on June 7, while the losers play for third place at 5 p.m. on June 7. Nixa defeated Lee's Summit West in the regular season 2-1 at the Kickapoo Shootout.
