Nixa High School hosted its spring National Signing Day on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Nixa inked 13 athletes to the next level. See below who signed where, why they chose their respective school, and what they plan on studying.
Avery Muniz: Southeast Missouri State University, Track and Field
Decision: Before I chose SEMO as my school, I was seeking the right environment. I visited every type of division school and different-sized communities till I felt what was best. In Cape Girardeau, it has a small-town vibe yet with lots of people; in addition, the university has very nice facilities just for the athletes, which caught my attention. The throwers I met during my visit made it feel like home, and the head coach showed great hospitality towards my family and me. It quickly became my favorite school among the almost 20 I had looked at, and I met many of my criteria for where I wanted to be for the next four years. My other top choice was Maryville University.
Intended Major: Physical Exercise, and eventually get my master's degree in Physical Therapy.

Will Sanley: Missouri Southern State University, Track and FieldÂ
Decision: I chose MSSU for its hands-on learning across multiple fields and for how much the coaches genuinely care about their athletes; it felt like a place where I would be in good hands and could reach my full potential as an athlete. I was also interested in Washburn and Emporia University.
Intended Major: Accounting and Law
Lucy Hronek: Hendrix College, Swimming
Decision: I chose Hendrix because I love the school size and the coaches. The coaches were one of the main reasons I decided to swim. I was also interested in Drury and the University of Tulsa.Â
Intended Major: Biochemistry
Madelyn Genuchi: Friends University, Dance
Decision: I ultimately chose Friends University because I really loved the small-school environment, the dance team, and the elementary education program. Being able to earn my master's in five years was also a huge factor for me.
Intended Major: Elementary Education
Taylor Wood: Drury University, Volleyball
Decision: I chose Drury because it felt like home the moment I stepped on campus, and I love the coaching staff and the girls on the volleyball team. I was also interested in Missouri State and Western Kentucky University.
Intended Major: Pre-Med
Addyson Bybee: Drury University, Pickleball
Decision: I chose Drury University because of the beautiful campus and community.
Intended Major: Biology or Biomedical Sciences
Brylee James: Baker University, Wrestling
Decision: I chose Baker University as this is the college because it's the college where I felt most at home, and they have a great women's wrestling team that feels like a community. Overall, Baker University felt like the right place for me.
Intended Major: Elementary and Special Education
Addison Harkins: Lindenwood University, Wrestling
Decision: I chose Lindenwood for its location and the opportunities I will have there. At Lindenwood, I'll be able to wrestle at the D1 level, study both art and business, and be near my sister. I got offers from Missouri Baptist University and Doane University. I was also being recruited by Simpson College and Fort Hays State University.Â
Intended Major: Double Major in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship and Art & Design
