The Nixa High School winter sports tryouts and first week of practice dates begin on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025.

The winter sports feature boys and girls basketball, boys and girls wrestling, and girls swimming and diving. Bowling will begin in February.

Below is all pertinent information regarding its respective sport.

A reminder that to participate on the first day, athletes must have a registered FinalForms account and an uploaded physical to their account. No athlete is allowed to participate until these requirements are met.

Please note that if a sport is not listed below, it will be added as soon as it is released.

Boys Basketball

Boys wrestling's first practice is Monday, Nov. 10.

The team will practice Nov. 10-14 from 2-4 p.m. in the high school wrestling room.

Girls Swimming and Diving

Girls swimming and diving begins on Monday, Nov. 17.

Practices will be held at the Springfield Natatorium beginning at 5:30 p.m.

There will be a mandatory parent meeting following practice on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m.

Junior High Sports Information

The junior high school winter sports include boys and girls basketball and boys and girls wrestling.

The girls season runs from Oct. 20, 2025, to Jan. 23, 2026.
The boys season runs from Oct. 27, 2025, to Feb. 12, 2026.

Practices for each respective sport occur after school until 5 p.m.

The first girls basketball game is Nov. 12 away at Branson. All A games start at 5:30 p.m., followed by the B games.
