Mid-season boys swim roundup

10/3/2025 7:22:00 AM

The boys' swim team has competed in six meets so far in the 2025 campaign, as the Eagles enter their dual meet on Oct. 3.

Junior Rylan Bell and freshman Broghan Dee have swum to strong outings and represent Nixa in the pool.

Bell has competed in the 100 backstroke, all of the freestyles, and the 200 individual medley. In Nixa's most recent dual on Sept. 23, he posted a 100 and 200 free season-best time of 59.83 and 2:13.09, dropping nearly two seconds in the 100 and almost five seconds in the 200. His previous 100 m best was 1:01.33 at the North Kansas City (NKC) Invitational, and his 200 free best was 2:18.01, set in an eight-team dual in mid-September. Also at that dual, he set a 100 back best of 1:12.67, where he finished third. He placed 24th of 61 swimmers at the Ozarks Invitational in the 50 free, setting a personal-best 24.87.

Dee has competed in five events this season - 200 individual medley, 100 back, 50, 100, and 200 free - posting times of 2:48.45, 1:28.07, 34.04, 1:17.88, and 3:03.76.

The Eagles will embark on a busy month of October with dual meets against Lebanon and Rogersville. Following that, they'll have two additional multi-school duals, the Central Ozark Conference Championships, the Springfield Invitational, the SWMO Championships, and the Last Chance meet.
