The boys swim team had five competitions to end its 2025 season.

Kicking off October, Nixa competed against Kickapoo, Springfield Central, Rogersville, and Parkview in a dual (Oct. 3) and edged Parkview by 10 points in the team standings. The team placed 11th in the COC meet on Oct. 17. Nixa scored 10 points in a seven-team dual on Oct. 24, and finished the month and season by participating in the Spring Invitational (Oct. 25) and the SWMO Championships (Oct. 31).

Junior Rylan Bell and freshman Broghan Dee have represented Nixa well in the pool this year with solid performances.

In the meets Bell participated in, he swam the 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly, and 50 and 100 freestyles. Bell placed seventh of 13 100 back swimmers in the COC with a time of 1:13.50, and eighth of 10 swimmers in the 100 fly at 1:12.09. At SWMO, he finished 23rd of 55 in the 50 free (25.65) and 26th of 52 in the 100 free (58.69).

Dee has witnessed consistent improvement at each meet. Participating in all five meets that concluded the year, he swam the 50, 100, and 200 free, as well as the 100 back. The Springfield Invitational was the only meet at which he competed in the 100 and 200 free events during the backend of the year, finishing with times of 1:06.21 (57th of 94) and 2:32.47 (41st of 53), respectively. At the COC meet, he finished 12th in the 100 back (1:27.03). The freshman beat that mark at the Oct. 24 dual, and followed with another best time at SWMO of 1:15.22, placing 17th in the prelims at 1:15.22. In the 50 free, Bell also set personal bests. He clocked in at 30.55 in the Oct. 3 dual, and set a new best during his SWMO performance, swimming to a 28.42 time and placing 38th of 55 swimmers in the prelims.
