The Nixa girls tennis concluded its memorable 2025 campaign with an appearance in the Class 3 state tournament, both as a team and in individual qualifications.

Prior to the state appearance, Nixa added to its trophy case by capturing the COC East title with a sweep over Waynesville (5-0) and a victory against Kickapoo (5-1). The Eagles followed the COC tournament with a 7-2 victory against Republic, ending the regular season on a 10-match winning streak, with its only defeat to eventual Class 2 state runner-up, Fr. Tolten.

The Eagles were awarded the top seed in the Class 3 District 5 tournament and reached the district title game for the fourth consecutive year, recrowning the throne and winning their third title in the last five years. Nixa knocked off Kickapoo in a tightly contested matchup, 5-3, and handled business against Republic, knocking off the Tigers 5-1 to claim the championship.

The doubles duo of Emily Peterson and Paige Morris dominated their way through the individual tournament, capping off their undefeated season (24-0) with a district title and qualifying for the state.

As a team, the Eagles hosted tennis powerhouse Liberty in the Class 3 state quarterfinals and fell to the Jays 5-0, finishing with a final 2025 record of 15-2 and achieving the most wins in program history. The previous record was 14, set by the 2022 team. Liberty went on to place third in the state.

Peterson and Morris bowed out of the state tournament on the first day, as the duo won one match but fell in their sudden-death tie-breaker match, which ended their season.
