The 2026 Missouri State High School Activities Association's (MSHSAA) Girls Swimming and Diving Class 2 State Championships will be held Feb. 20-21 at the St. Peter's Rec-Plex in St. Peter's, Mo.

The swimming preliminary rounds are set for Friday, Feb. 20, at 4:30 p.m.

The swimming finals are the following day on Saturday, Feb. 21, beginning at 3 p.m.

According to MSHSAA standards, the top 32 times individuals entered on MSHSAA's swimming performance list in their respective events qualify for the state meet.

Nixa met these standards in all three events: the 200-medley, 200-free, and 400-free relays posted regular-season times in the top 32.

Nixa's state relay team consists of seniors Kadyn Garland, Lucy Hronek, Lucy Snook, and Bethany Spencer, junior Emma Yancy, sophomores Alyvia Gordon and Hannah McKinney, and freshman Hope Garrison.

The 200-medley team is Hronek, McKinney, Gordon, and Spencer. The team posted a season-best time of 2:05.38 at the SWMO Championships on Feb. 6, placing sixth out of 16 teams. 2:05.39 ranks the team No. 31, ahead of Pattonville (2:05.73). St. Joseph's Academy has the top-ranked time of 1:46.57. They will compete in the first heat with Park Hill, Eureka, Liberty (Wentzville), Republic, Liberty North, Blue Springs, and Pattonville.

The 200-free team is McKinney, Spencer, Gordon, and Hronek. The four swam to a sixth-place finish at the SWMO Championships on Feb. 6, with a time of 1:51.45 and ranks the Eagles 30th in the state, ahead of Francis Howell Central (1:51.72) and Raymore-Peculiar (1:51.93). Park Hill South has the best mark of 1:39.15. The squad will swim in the first heat against Francis Howell Central, Park Hill, Carthage, Blue Springs, Liberty (Wentzville), Pattonville, and Raymore-Peculiar.

The 400-free relay team enters the state meet with the 32nd fastest time. The four of McKinney, Spencer, Gordon, and Hronek set a season-best time at the Springfield Invitational on Jan. 31 of 4:10.53. They will be up against Park Hill, Blue Springs, Francis Howell Central, Lee's Summit West, Lee's Summit, Carthage, and Kickapoo in the first heat.

Hronek and Gordon participated in the 2025 state meet, with the 200- and 400-free relays, which placed 23rd in both.

Hronek also competed with the 2024 state 400- and 200-free relay teams, which placed 24th and 25th, respectively. She'll seek to lead the quartet with her veteran experience in her third meet.
