Nixa opened the 2025-26 season on a slow start, dropping five of its first seven games. The Eagles found momentum at the Pink and White Classic, finishing third with wins over Carthage (54-36) and Reeds Spring (63-22). After falling to Logan-Rogersville in the semifinals, Nixa edged Hillcrest 52-49 to secure the third-place finish.
Conference play began with a 48-40 win over Webb City, followed by a tough road defeat at Republic. The Eagles responded with a dominant 69-32 victory over Carthage, fueled by 24 points from Gwen Kubik. Nixa added another win over Willard before entering the 2026 Nixa Invitational Tournament (NIT).
Inclement weather forced the NIT into a two-day shootout format with no tournament champion. The change didn't slow Nixa, who earned wins over Troy (57-41) and Helias (61-41). Taylor Wood led the way during the invitational with a combined 46 points, finishing as the top scorer.
Riding a four-game win streak, Nixa traveled to Joplin, where Wood became the 16th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points. She scored 24 in the Eagles 64-41 win. Nixa then extended its streak to six with a victory over Waynesville.
Nixa closes its regular season with matchups against Kickapoo, Lebanon, Glendale, Springfield Central, Ozark, and Liberty North.
