Two remaining contests are slated for the girls tennis team in the 2025 regular season, which already features a plethora of trophies and individual medals.

The Eagles enter the home stretch of the season with a record of 10-1. Nixa's lone blemish came at the hands of 2024 Class 1 State 3rd Place winners Father Tolton Regional Catholic in a tightly-contested matchup, 5-4.

Nixa triumphed over Branson (2x), Bolivar, Springfield Catholic, Kickapoo, Webb City, Neosho, Glendale, Ozark, and Joplin.

The team also captured team titles at the Republic and Nixa Invitational Tournaments.

Individually, the doubles team of Emily Peterson and Paige Morris captured first place in their respective top doubles flights at the Springfield, Republic, and Nixa tournaments. Hannah Schiman and Brooke Chandler placed first in their doubles flight at Republic and Nixa, along with June Hronek and McKenna Kembell capturing first and second place medals in the singles competition.

Peterson and Morris are undefeated in doubles (17-0).

The Eagles conclude the regular season with a match against Republic, as well as the COC Tournament.

The postseason begins on Oct. 10 with the Class 3 District 5 Individual Tournament, followed by the team tournament from Oct. 10-13, hosted by Kickapoo High School. District 5 features Branson, Glendale, Kickapoo, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, and Waynesville.

Peterson will seek to qualify for a second consecutive year. Morris was a doubles qualifier a year ago with now graduated Jocelyn Cosgrove.
